Multi Beam Survey at Karimun, Indonesia

Geometra has secured a multi beam survey contract for a 50Km navigation channel of a new petroleum storage terminal and related facilities at Tg Balai Karimun Indonesia. The contract has been awarded by Oiltanking Asia Pacific (Pte) Ltd and Geometra will utilise Reson SeaBat 7101 multibeam technology for this assignment.

New Integrated Sub-Bottom & Side Scan Sonar

Geometra International has purchased a new Integrated Sub-Bottom & Side Scan Sonar model EdgeTech 2000DSS. The integrated combined system is capable of gathering side scan and sub-bottom data utilizing CHIRP technology in water depths up to 2000 meters. Geometra International is the first home grown company to use this advance technology for geophysical survey. In addition a EdgeTech DF4200-MP side scan sonar system was also purchased.

Geometra International organized the Kuala Lumpur/Genting trip with all Management and staff and their family members from 7-9 August 2009.

The trip also covered sight-slghtseeing in Malacca en route to Kuala Lumpur. It was an enjoyable and exciting trip filled with fun and laughers and spirit of togetherness amongst all Management and staff on this memorable trip.

Geometra has secured firm two years plus one year option term contract with Leighton
[June 23 2009.]

Geometra has been awarded a 2 years plus one year option term contract for positioning and navigation services by Leighton Contractors (Singapore) Pte Ltd. The services will be mainly provided for oil and gas industry infrastructure constructions including subsea pipelines and Single Buoy Moorings (SBM).

The services cover mainly on board their Lay Barge "Stealth", work barge "Mynx" and other supporting work barges, AHT's and survey vessels. Initially the services shall cover Leighton's upcoming projects in Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and India.

Mr. Rajamohan Munisamy, Chairman of Geometra Company, announced today the appointment of Mr. Naresh C. Soneji as General Manager of Geometra Survey India (Pvt.) Ltd. In this capacity, Naresh will oversee Control and Development of India Operations based in Mumbai Office, India.

Naresh was a Project Manager for projects in the Middle East and India Regions for UTEC Survey Limited before joining Geometra. He had been served over thirteen years in project & operation management capacity for Fugro Survey Ltd. and many other companies. He is a Graduate in Economics from University of Bombay and holds an MBA from University of East Georgia, USA.

Geometra International celebrated Christmas and their annual end of year gathering function for 2008 alone with their sister organization Geometra Movers at SAF Yacht Club, Changi. All the staff of both organizations and the management were present at the event.

The function was with full of excitement including a lucky draw with valuable prices and announcement of the employee of the year.
